Ally and Justin’s first

How it all began

Ally and Justin met while studying at the University of Washington in December 2017 at the Suzzallo library Starbucks on campus. After getting coffee together, they lost track of time talking to one another, ending only after Justin walked Ally to her music class (after he missed one of his own classes hours earlier).

Their first date to see the Woodland Park Zoo WildLights show started on the right note as it was quickly discovered by a confused attendant at the entrance that Justin had booked tickets to the similarly named, but unfortunately not similarly located, Point Defiance “ZooLights” in Tacoma. Not to waste perfectly good tickets, they made the trip there anyway a week later where they used the occasion to make things official.

The rest as they say, is history!

One of Ally and Justin’s favorite activities together throughout their relationship has been cheering on their local teams, and over the years have gone to dozens of Husky, Seahawks, Mariners, and Kraken games.

Most recently, they made memories to last a lifetime by attending both the last ever Pac-12 championship in Las Vegas and the CFP Championship in Houston.

The Opera Singer and the Acrobat

During the Covid years, Ally was looking to adopt a companion and after a difficult search knew she found it when sparks (literally) flew upon meeting Kepler, an affectionate and vocal two year old bombay rescue who quickly earned the nickname the opera singer.

Fast forward to Fall `23 after moving to a new home together with more space, Justin and Ally felt Kepler could use a little sibling. After a few months of looking at local shelters, they found the perfect match in Apollo, an energetic and ever-inquisitive nine-month old orange tabby whose mid-air flips were unmatched.
